How much does Stride cost?

Stride is free for teams that are interested in our basic functionality, and for those looking for more, you can get Stride Standard for the price of a cup of coffee—$3/user/month.

Why is Stride more expensive than Hipchat Cloud?

Stride introduces a new experience with a much larger feature set than Hipchat Cloud. Not only does it include the things you love about Hipchat, but it also has built-in collaboration tools, native voice and video conferencing, and much more to support every way your team works. If I upgrade from Hipchat to Stride, when will I start paying Stride prices?

Existing Hipchat Cloud Plus users will be grandfathered into Stride at the Hipchat Cloud pricing of $2/user/month through June 30, 2019. On July 1, 2019, the price of Stride will be $3/user/month.

I have a Hipchat Plus account, what happens in Stride?

When you upgrade you will automatically get moved over to Stride Standard. Once upgraded, you will pay Hipchat Cloud pricing of $2/user/month through June 30, 2019. On July 1, 2019, the price of Stride will be $3/user/month.

What administrator controls does Stride currently offer?

Your admin controls are through your Atlassian Account. You can add and remove any users, as well as adjust your payment plans.

What does Stride Standard give my team?

Here is what is included in Stride Standard at a price of $3/user per month:

No worries, if you're a Stride team admin, go to your online account under Manage Subscriptions.

Stride user management

Is user management available in Stride?

User management is available through your site admin UI. There are no APIs for user management yet, so if you had an add-on for user provisioning in Hipchat Cloud, you will only be able to manage users in Stride through the GUI, by claiming your domain. What administrator controls does Stride currently offer?

Right now, our admin controls are the same as the ones you will see in your Atlassian admin dashboard. You have the ability to invite and remove members from your team at anytime.

You can also sign up for Atlassian Access to get SAML single sign-on, password policies, and enforced two-step verification for your whole team.
